Stones of CeylonRough & Cut

From Sydney, Australia

Shipping & insurance

A route is offered only when its current carrier acceptance, value ceiling, cover, packaging and destination requirements have been recorded and approved. If that evidence is missing or stale, checkout closes and we arrange a written quote instead.

Preview position. The old public rate table was planning data, not an approved promise. It has been removed. No destination is presented as available until a dated route record has passed carrier, insurance and legal review.

What the system checks

The checkout service prices from the authoritative order value and a current approved route record. That record identifies the carrier and service, confirms that loose gemstones are accepted, records the value and insurance ceilings, requires tracking and signature where approved, and names its source and last verification date.

The browser cannot choose a cheaper route, change a stone price or make an unavailable destination available. When no qualifying record exists, no payment session is created.

Before payment

  • The delivery country is checked against the exact order value.
  • Carriage and cover are calculated from the approved route record.
  • The hosted checkout address is locked to the selected country.
  • Customs, identity or documentation requirements are surfaced before fulfilment.

Managed high-value route

Orders above the internal self-service threshold of $5,000 are handled as managed sales. That threshold is a company control, not a claim about any carrier. We confirm the destination, lawful route, cover, handover and payment method in writing before the stone is reserved for payment.

Request a destination-specific carriage quote.

Packing and custody

A fulfilled order needs a packing record, tamper-evident seal reference, declared value, route record and carrier handover evidence. Tracking is sent only after the parcel has actually been handed over. A label being created is not described as dispatch.

Border charges

Customs, duty and tax rules change and depend on the destination, transaction and declared origin. The site does not publish time-sensitive country summaries as legal or tax advice. Values and descriptions are declared accurately; ask for a written destination review if border charges would affect your decision.

If transit goes wrong

Contact us through your private order status route. The case is linked to the order, approved route, tracking, packing evidence and carrier communications. The outcome is handled under the reviewed returns and consumer-law procedure; the site does not promise a carrier result or invent a timetable.
