Rough & parcels
Uncut crystals, waterworn material and working lots. Rough is bought on your own read of it, so everything here is sold as-is: no yield is estimated, no finished colour is promised, and where a piece has not been tested we say so rather than implying otherwise.
Photographed wet and dry
Wet is roughly how the colour will look once cut; dry is how the piece looks in your hand. Backlit-only photographs flatter rough and hide what matters, so every lot gets both, against a white card.
No yield estimate
What a piece cuts is a function of how it is oriented, and that is the cutter's judgement, not ours. Weights and measurements are given so you can do your own arithmetic.
Parcels are sold whole
A lot is one item at one price. Individual pieces are not split out — the mix is the deal, which is how rough trades everywhere it is bought at source.
We buy rough too. If you mine, cut or deal at source, we buy directly — and in Sri Lanka the material never has to leave the country.
